Handol Kim

Handol Kim is Co-Founder & CEO of Vancouver-based Variational AI, developers of the Enki generative AI platform for small molecule drug discovery. Prior to Variational AI, Handol led generative AI commercialization at D-Wave Quantum's Quadrant AI Business Unit. He has over 20 years of senior leadership and executive management experience in venture-backed tech and deeptech start-ups in Silicon Valley and Asia Pacific.

Variational AI is a Vancouver-based biotechnology company using generative artificial intelligence to design novel small-molecule therapeutics. Its Enki platform seeks to accelerate early drug discovery by generating compounds optimized across multiple properties.
